The Best Fat Loss Diet Plan

The Magic Trio diet program is situated around intermittent fasting.

Now that you’ve got fat burning as the target and understand how to determine it, it’s time to go over how to achieve it.  Intermittent fasting is one of the easiest ways to get rid of fat.  Let’s face it.  There aren’t many choices for an effortless fat loss diet plan available.  It’s funny that so many people focus on what to eat as a way to shed pounds when one of the best ways to lose weight is to simply refrain from eating.  After I began intermittent fasting, I was able to reduce my body fat percentage by more than 65% in under a year.  Sure, there were additional factors that contributed to this, but intermittent fasting was a major one.  There are two main reasons why folks don’t consider intermittent fasting when looking to lose weight.   First, they are scared of causing themselves to enter “starvation mode”.  Second, they think it’s too difficult.

First, allow me to address the starvation mode myth.

The body will not enter starvation mode if you go without eating for 20 to 24 hours which is the amount of time I recommend for a fast.  There is no inner panic button that goes off after a few hours of not eating that signals to your body that it is at risk and that it needs to quickly hold on to body fat stores.  On the contrary, the body will burn stored body fat as energy after hours of fasting due to the absence of food energy.  Our hunter gatherer forefathers regularly went for 24 hours or even more without eating as they didn’t have easily accessible food and they were slimmer and more fit than we are.  It’s not like a deer or bison would show up on their front doorstep every few hours.  The starvation mode myth was developed by the food industry to convince people that they should eat every few hours so that they will purchase more food.  Did I mention you’re going to save a lot of cash on food by practicing intermittent fasting?

Intermittent fasting doesn’t need to be torturous.

Now that I’ve hopefully convinced you that intermittent fasting isn’t bad, on to the next point.  Intermittent fasting may be challenging in the beginning.  However, it’s not difficult if you go about it the correct way.  It’s actually more of a psychological challenge than anything.  It primarily entails altering the way in which your mind is programmed to think of eating.  I believe most of us have experienced an occasion when we weren’t hungry, but mysteriously convinced ourselves to eat.  Well, it can also work the other way round.  This may cause some momentary discomfort, however, if it were effortless, everyone would do it.  Just suck it up and get over it.  Quit telling yourself you can’t miss a meal or two and get it done.  Once you start performing it consistently, it will become second nature.

Another important thing to note…

On the subject of intermittent fasting, remember that you’re not starving yourself.  You are working towards an objective.  Additionally, you should originally only do this once or twice a week.  Any more than this and you’re more unlikely to stick with it over the long run and long-term commitment is what produces results.  In fact, I suggest only one 20 to 24 hour fast a week when you first get started.  The reason I propose 20 to 24 hours is that research has revealed that fat burning increases considerably after 18 hours of fasting.  Those of you who are really driven will love the next section.  To learn more about intermittent fasting, the top resource you can read is Brad Pilon’s Eat Stop Eat.  I strongly recommend this book for anyone who really wants to understand how intermittent fasting works and why it’s the simplest and most powerful fat loss diet program available.
